18th International Festival "Music on the Peaks"

In September, Zakopane fills with music again. From 5 to 12 September, the 18th International Festival "Music on the Peaks" unites exceptional artists, classical and contemporary music, and the unique Tatra atmosphere.

This year’s edition marks the 150th anniversary of Mieczysław Karłowicz’s birth. The opening concert will feature all of his songs and selected works by Eugeniusz Morawski. In the following days, audiences can enjoy concerts showcasing various facets of global chamber music, an accordion recital of Johann Sebastian Bach’s music, a concert by young artists, and events dedicated to contemporary music.

Additional events accompany the festival – a musicology conference "Beautiful One Hundred and Fifty Years Old", artist meetings, and a film evening.

The festival finale will be held on 12 September. The concert "Symphony of Sounds. At the Peaks of Harmonies" will feature the National Brass Orchestra, performing works by Mieczysław Karłowicz, Alfred Reed, Samuel R. Hazo, Rossano Galante, Otto M. Schwarz, and Gustav Holst.
