It was founded in Zakopane by a group of graduates of the Krakow Theater School. The headquarters of the Theater at Chramcówki Street is the hall at the Chałubiński Hotel (former Hydrological Plant named after Andrzej Chramec M.D., later the Sanatorium of the Red Cross transformed into Chałubiński Sanatorium. The premier cycle at the theater is connected with the summer and winter tourist seasons. The theater hall also hosts numerous art exhibitions, concerts and theater festivals. Currently, it is a cultural institution of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship.
