Proudly standing over Zakopane it is the goal of many tourists - the die-hard pros and the new tourists. What makes Giewont a particular place is a 17.5 meter metal cross on its top (2.5 meters of which is placed in the rocks). It has been there since 19 August 1901. It was installed there by the parishioners of Zakopane to commemorate the 1900 anniversary of Jesus Christ.
We can reach Giewont setting off from Kuźnice, Dolina Strążyska or Dolina Małej Łąki and each of these routes has its fans.
